Government → Datawitness Working For The Public Sector
In an effort to create efficiency in the public sector governments are embracing technology. Datawitness has been successful in providing solutions as a partner of the Gov't. of Ontario and the Gov't. of British Columbia.
Datawitness has been approved by the Ontario Ministry of Training for Colleges & Universities for the archiving and maintenance of student transcripts for private colleges in the Province of Ontario.
In 2006 Datawitness was approved as a vendor to resell it's services through the Government of British Columbia's official e-government services portal. Datawitness Services can be found at the following location: BC-Online e-government services portal.
Datawitness obtained approved vendor status under the requirements of the newly released Private Career Training Institutions Agency (of BC) January 2008 Bylaws. The Bylaws require institutions registered with PCTIA to arrange secure redundant off-site storage of student records.
Institutions must provide a signed contract with an approved vendor. On November 22, 2004, the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) succeeded the Private Post-Secondary Education Commission of BC (PPSEC) as the regulatory agency for private training institutions in the province of BC. The Agency is given its authority by the Province of British Columbia, Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development, under the Private Career Training Institutions Act (SBC 2003, Chapter 79), Regulations (BC Reg. 466/2004), and Bylaws. www.pctia.bc.ca
